Over the years skiing in the Alps, I have seen numerous broken ski poles breaking for various reasons. No matter how strong the pole and from which material it is made of, a bad fall can easily break any pole. Unfortunately, when one pole is broken the remaining grip, basket and other pole have no use anymore since ski poles are sold in pairs. This means that even though one pole is still completely usable, you are forced to use it no longer and buy a new pair of ski poles. The
2,5POLES tackle the problem of wasting material and money by making the poles exchangeable. A set of 2,5POLES includes one pair of ski poles, one spare pole and two sizes of baskets. In case of one broken pole, the grip and basket can be taken off the broken pole and mounted to the spare pole. A simple system helps you secure the grip tightly without using a tool.
